I love cookies, pies, and fried foods as much as an

Loosing 25 Pounds Fast

I have talked on my blog about keto and how I have done it successfully, but I feel I need to break down how I have found that success. Before I get into it I want to mention that loosing weight is not and has never been easy for me. I have consistently gained weight the last three years. I tried multiple diets and nothing worked. Keto was kind of a last resort. If you do not know what keto is feel free to check out my other blog post. It is also important for you to know that I am not perfect at keto or pretend to be. Also, I talked to my doctor about keto and he encouraged me to continue doing it.       When I started keto I did research but I did NOT obsess about it. I started eliminating things form my diet that were obviously loaded with carbs. I did not even use a macro tracker. I knew I did not want to obsess over what I was eating, for me that would of been unhealthy and lead to failure. I did however start checking labels on things. I was surprised by how many t

How to Help Your Winter Skin

Image
Okay so as much as I love the cold, the cold does not love my skin. My skin gets SO dry and pale! I am not one of those girls that can pull off being pale, but I wish I was! My lips are also always dry when the weather hits under 60. Today I am talking about a couple things that are a necessity for me getting through the winter. A hydrating Face Mask! Doing this once a week is so beneficial for your skin. During the winter months I do it twice a week. Not only does it rejuvenate my skin but also is a fun way to do a little self care. The Elf Hydrating Balm! Wow, I can not say enough good things about this product. I have terribly dry skin during the winter. My t-zone is so flaky and gross. I tried so many moisturizers and nothing helped. I tried this $8 balm from Elf and have had no more issues with dry skin. It is a lifesaver! A good lip balm. I, like many other women have tried a billion chap sticks/lip balms and to be honest the ones that work the best are the og'

Another Week of Keto Eating

Image
So I have now been on Keto for a full two months! WOW! I can not believe I have been able and stick with it this long. I am down 30 pounds and I feel great! The main reason I have been able to stick with keto is because of how easy it is. I still eat food I love and feel great! My goal is to loose another 20 pounds by the first of the year and their is no doubt in my mind that I can accomplish this. I have begun doing intermit fasting. Therefore I typically only eat one meal a day. You do not have to do this, for me it works with my schedule. However, if I am hungry I eat! I hope these simple and affordable meals help you on your keto journey! Dinners Roast!! UH yummm, we popped this in the crockpot with beef broth and it was SO good. I put a little sour cream on mine and served it with green bean casserole.  Chicken Soup. It was cold and I had a soar throat so I whipped up my faviorte soup! It is so easy to make. Just chicken broth, cream of chicken, salsa Verde, shredded

Five Things You Need in Your Closet This Fall

Image
Okay, so as we know I LOVE fall. I live in a state where one day it will be 70 degrees and the next it will be 50! For that reason my outfit change on a day to day basis. I keep a wide range of items in my closet at all times! With that being said, there are five pieces that are a must and that work with the varying temps that fall brings. These five pieces are not only comfortable, wearable, but also affordable. A flannel! So versatile, you can dress it up or down! You can tie it around your waist with a t-shirt or under a sweater to give it an extra flare. My favorite flannels are from Old Navy, they are comfy, affordable, and they have a great size range. I only buy their flannels when they are on sale and get them for under $20! Light Weight sweater! A light weight sweater is a must have piece. You can pair it with a     flannel like mentioned above or throw a scarf over top to warm it up! Or roll up the sleeves and wear with a pair of wholey jeans to cool it off!  Slip o

What I Eat in a Week on Keto

Image
Starting keto can be overwhelming. It was a total reboot of how and what I eat. I will be honest, at first it was challenging, I was hungry and carving all the sugars and carbs. Just push through. Another challenging part of keto was coming up with meals and snacks that not only were delicious but also easy. I am going to show you what I eat in a typical week, on keto you do try to space your meals out. I typically try to not eat for a 12 hour period, so I really do not eat breakfast and try to keep snacking to a minimum. The good thing about keto, is that you stay full longer so not eating as many times a day is not that difficult. If I do eat breakfast it is typically just a couple eggs and bacon or sausage. Dinners  White chicken soup, this dish is SO good and super easy. Chicken, salsa Verde, butter, chicken broth, heavy cream, and cheese! Its that simple! I throw a couple low carb tortillas in the oven and throw them on top for some crunch! No noodle spaghetti, hits the cr

Hey everyone! Just like most women I LOVE to shop! I really love getting awesome and useful things for a great price. I have talked about how I get awesome deals on fall décor, but this post is in regards to shopping in a more general sense. All of these things have been vetted and I have actually received money or products from with no strings attached. FREE MONEY EBATES!! If you are not using this and you shop online you should be! How To Be a More Confident Woman

Image
Hey everyone, I know this is a change of pace for my blog but I think it is important. Not only will this help those close to me understand my "why" behind blogging but I also hope it helps other women out there struggling with self confidence.               So the topic of this post may represent that I have all the answers on how to be a confident woman and sadly I do not. I can share though how I have become a more confident and self fulfilled young woman. A couple weeks ago I was thinking about life, and what I wanted my life to represent. I realized that one day I will look back on my life and ask myself did I do and become everything I wanted. At that moment I would have answered "no". So then I started to go through the process of making that answer a yes. Here is how I did it. Who do you want to be? No, I do not mean what career do you want, although that could be what it means for you. I really mean what kind of person? A giver? A great mom? A great

How I have Lost Twenty Pounds On Keto

Image
Right after my birthday I decided to start a new diet, KETO! I have done diets in the past, and nothing worked. Counting calories just didn't work for me, it was boring food, I was hungry, and it was not fun. Well, I love KETO! I do what they call lazy keto and eat between 20 - 40 carbs a day. You may be thinking what do carbs matter? Well you see that was my problem too. I did not realize how bad carbs were for me until I stopped eating them and saw the results. I have been eating food I love and have lost 20 pounds in a little over a month. On keto you eat LOW carbs, MODERATE protein, and HIGH fat. Keto is all about limited carbs. These are sugars, breads, pasta, potatoes, most processed foods, and more. It is also important to look at the net carbs of a product, this is the carb count subtracted by the fiber. Carbs do fuel our body, but for most of us we already have excess fuel and should be burning that rather then adding more carbs. Also, are bodies run better on fat are

Why you should be going to Trader Joes

Image
I am a huge fan of this quirky little grocery store called Trader Joes. I am an avid YouTube watcher and that's how I discovered this magical grocery store. Luckily, Oklahoma now has two Trader Joes, one is in Tulsa on Brookside and the other is in Oklahoma City right in the middle of Nicholls Hills. A lot of people ask me if it is like Whole Foods or Sprouts. Like both of the mentioned stores Trader Joes does have great healthy foods but they also have awesome comfort foods. I also think Trader Joes is much more affordable then other specialty grocery stores. So, why should you be shopping there?       The Food!! Trader Joes has some of the best options! They have great specialty items, everyday staples, and more. No matter if your are looking for sweet treats, crowd pleasers, vegan/vegetarian options, and everything in between. I love that the things they have are delicious and affordable. They have a lot of fun freezer options and desserts which can spice up any meal. Bel

Decorating for Fall on a Budget

Image
Fall is upon us and I am just as excited as all the other pumpkin spice drinking, fuzzy sock wearing, pumpkin patch going girls out there! One of my favorite things about fall is decorating for it. Putting out a few pumpkins and fall scented candles can really get me excited for the season upon us. With that being said, decorating can be expensive when added to all the cost that come with adulthood. Here are a few tips I have for those wanting to be a little festive this fall! If you are shopping somewhere like Hobby Lobby or Michael's for décor, only buy it if it is ATLEAST 40% off. If it isn't to that discount yet, it will be! Its also usually cheaper to wait for that discount on their items then buy at places like Walmart or Target! The items below were all under $3! Secondly, check out the Dollar spot at Target early in the season and keep checking back! They are constantly rotating and getting new things in the dollar spot. Also, during the holidays they tend to put

What I have Learned through Growth

Image
With growth comes pain, understanding, and wisdom. I'm 22, so far I have had more internal growth in the last four years then I have had my whole life. For some reason I think we experience the most growth when we are the most vulnerable. I have been the most vulnerable since leaving the comfort of my parents home and finances. I have learned how to: Budget Clean my bathroom Grocery shop Decorate my home Enjoy shopping without making a purchase Ask the Oreilly's clerk to look at my car Make friends with strangers Order Checks So much more I wanted to start this blog because through being vulnerable I have learned, achieved, and GROWED so much. I know that leaving home, becoming an adult, and being outside of your comfort zone is challenging. Even though there are thousands of us trying to navigate through growing up, whether we are 17 or 46 we hardly ever talk about and get advice from one another on how to do it successfully. So I want to make a place where tips,
